Each year, registered sites from all over North and South America host a special international event known as the Multi-site Indoor Championship of the Americas (MICA). Over a 4-month period (January 01-April 30) clubs host the 60-arrow, 18m round, as well as the separate indoor team round, and send their results to national co-ordinators. These volunteers, in turn, send their results for the top 3 in the country to the international co-ordinator. International results are available early in May.
As usual, South Nation Archery Club will be hosting 2 lines for the individual round and one time slot to host the team round event. A third line will be added if necessary in order to accommodate all those interested in competing. This is an internationally-sanctioned event at SNAC (not all sites are sanctioned for international records) and has only 2 equipment divisions: recurve and compound (inner 10).
This event is suitable for those archers who have competed in the local, provincial and national indoor championships/mailmatches previously in order to gain sufficient experience in long-term athlete development.
Pre-registration is compulsory for individual and team events.
Youth is $15; adult is $20.
